While the pace and awesome of the script for AGC increases with each day, I’m still confronted by the lack of standard plot. As of right now, there is nothing compelling the main character forward.
Is it still gripping? I would say yes. Is it still a good story? Again, yes. But, can it stand without the standard protagonist’s quest for something? Everything about my writer’s training so far says no.
So, I labor over the story, playing it this way and that, in my mind, seeing if I can tweak it in just such a way as to give that need for the main character to chase something and thus pull the viewer in with the best question, “What’s going to happen next?”
