Wonders of Social Media

I love social media. In the course of an hour, I’m reading about how to market an indie film, had a chat with a College Student who wrote a paper about modern trends in Gerontological education, and had a chat with another friend about the entheogen called Dimethyltryptamine.

The real irony came when the College Student (18-19yrs old) corrected me for trying to have a conversation on Facebook, “Also, let’s not clog my wall with discourse :) ” I guess I just thought Facebook was more like G+. Or maybe it’s just her. Of course, she’s brilliant and I’m eager to see where her work goes.

(My inner-editor says, “I hope this isn’t taken as a rant.” My inner-rebel says, “Screw it. Just write and let other people figure out how it makes them feel. My inner-publicist says, “I know I’ve told you to be open, but all these ‘inner-people’ might be a bit much.” My inner-efficency expert says, “Just click ‘share.’”)
