What do you do when a project doesn’t happen because (insert reason here)?
I’ve got my hands in a lot of stews (kinda gross). I’ve got a lot cooking (a little better). Right now, I’m starting two web series, ORDINARY WORLD and ASK A GIRL; I’ve got two corporate gigs; a 3rd just came in; I’m writing a feature which I will make when “the money comes”; I’ve got a consulting gig coming up.
So, what do I do when one of them doesn’t work out? I move on to the next one.
I love creating. I love imagining worlds and making them become something real. It’s even better when I get to collaborate with other people in the movie medium. I love exploring ideas and a momentary setback (that’s what one project not working out actually is (don’t invest everything into any single thing)) isn’t going to stop me.
So, if you’re down, or, if you think you might ever be down in the future about one of your dreams not happening the way you thought it would, go ahead and give this post a re-read.
(Don’t worry. I’ll do the same.)
(Not quitting doesn’t mean not pausing to cry for a bit, just so long as you eventually dry your tears and get on with it.)
